The World ReMix tournament hosted by Smack Girl is continuing into the semi-final bouts on April 25th. Undefeated Megumi Fujii is taking on Seo Hee Ham from Korea. Seo Hee fought Smack Girl champion Yuka Tsuji to a decision in the title fight held on December 26th 2007 so this fight between Seo Hee and Megumi can be a good measurement to figure out how good Yuka really is. Many believe Megumi is far better because she has been fighting the world's best in much tougher MMA rules than the no-striking-to-the-head-on-the-ground official rules administrated by Smack Girl.

Another semi-final bout is going to be Lisa Ward vs. Michelli Tavares. Since both fighters have lost to Megumi, this is a good fight to decide who would gain a right for redemption. However Seo Hee is a very tough striker with incredibly flexible joints so she could ruin the party for everyone.

According to Smack Girl the opponents for two semi-finalists of the open-weight tournament, Hitomi Akano and Etsuko Emoto, are going to be non-Japanese fighters but are still undecided at this point. Fighters like Akano were hoping to get a chance for the revenge fight against current Smack Girl open-weight champion Amanda Buckner but apparently Amanda has declined an offer from Smack Girl and instead is fighting in the upcoming Fatal Femmes Fighting (FFF) on April 7th in the Shrine Auditorium in Hollywood California. Another possibility was Roxanne Modafferi who currently resides in Japan but Roxanne is also scheduled to defend her FFF title against Vanessa Porto in the same show as well. Therefore Smack Girl is still seeking adequate fighters for this tournament.
