Tabera
a former Legoinaire has a win against Gilbert Yvel in
M-1. While Faircloth keeps coming forward striking, Tabera
is extremely relaxed. Heavy trading in second. Tabera
lands heavy combos and knees from clinch. Momentum shifts.
Third round hard core striking, they fly at the ropes
and I catch a back hand to my right eye, and the bell.

| Adam Ryan (Epic MMA) VS Chael Sonnen (Team Quest) |
| Winner:Chael Sonnen by TKO 3:49 Round 1 |
Sonnen comes in striking and kicking, Ryan can't get the takedown as he gets a mouse under his left eye. Referee stops it as Sonnen delivers some g n p and Ryan can't defend. He clearly dominated the bout. |
| 8th Fight Heavy Weight |
| Dan Christison (Freelance) VS
Ben Rothwell (MFC) |
| Winner:Dan Christison by Kimura Tap Out :57
Round 3 |
Two very big men both striking primarily the face. Rothwell striking with morepower, but Christison keeps coming back finishing round 1 with a take down. Slugfest continues in the second, both are dripping blood. It's a mid tempo super heavyweight bout in red. The sound effects are powerful in the final Rothwell hits the floor from a left round house to head, g n p, Kimura and it's over. |
| 9th Fight Heavy Weight |
| Travis Wiuff (Team Extreme) VS Antoine Joaude (Ruas Vale Tudo) |
| Winner:Travis Wiuff By Unanimous Decision. (30-27) |
Fast paced and agressive, both are excellent athletes. Wiuff worked for the takedown, but Joaude has a great guard. Stood up and a striking exchange. Joaude counter strikes very well, but another accidental crotch kick. Joaude gets top position in second and starts striking the body. Wiuff gets to work the top trying to soften the Brazilian's left eye. Both men's faces are bleeding at the bell. In the third it's a battle of atrophy, Joaude starts landing strikes mid way through. Wiuff also lands heavy bombs. It's back n forth, and there is no clear winner. |
| 10th Fight 155lbs. |
| Ryan Schultz (Team Quest) VS
Hiroyuki Abe (AACC) |
| Winner:Ryan Schultz by TKO :42 Round 2 |
Schultz
is very agressive and comes out striking and using his
height advantage. Abe rocks Schultz with a hard right
folowed by combos, eggs on Ryan. Flow shifts and then
shifts again. Schultz looks strong but Abe is fearless.
Great intense round. Schultz lands a heavy right high
kick to the head, Abe hits floor but covers up protecting
his head. Schultz g n p's but the referee stops it. |

Dojo Cobra-kai) VS Rich
Clementi (Team Extreme) |

Stood up. Hanazawa lands a hard right and tosses Clementi
through the ropes. Rich gets the takedown, g n p's a bit,
stop don't move, Hanazawa reverses it. In the second they
both attack and Clementi winds up in mount, but gets reversed,
but the also reverses Hanazawa. Stood. Clementi gets takedown,
trapping Hanazawa's arm behind his back and landing a
bit. Stood. Hanazawa gets takedown and starts striking
body, side mount, reversed, but Daisuke works for the
Kimura and bell. Clemeti gets the take down in third.
Clementi traps right arm and strikes a bit. Reversal Hanazawa.
G n P face and body. Stood. Hanazawa takedown and G n
P . Stop don't move. Clementi defends well. No real winner
as far as I'm concerned. Hanazawa looked ready for another
couple rounds while Clementi lost gas continously in the
final round. |
| 12th Fight 195lbs. |
| Kazuki Okubo (U-File Camp.com) VS
Jeremy Horn (Team Extreme) |
| Winner:Jeremy Horn by TKO 3:19 Round 1 |
There is a major weight discrepency on this card. Okubo weighs 175 lbs. soaking wet, while Horn is easily 210 since weigh in's yesterday. They stand and trade, the difference in power is obvious. Okubo can only dance and jab but is innefective, but finally lands a right to the face. Horn starts attacking the body and finishes with a right uppercut to the body. Okubo, a Tamura disciple was simply mismatched. Jeremy Horn is always a class act. |
| 13th Fight 240lbs. |
| Hermes Franca (American Top Team) VS Yves Edwards (Third Column/Thug jitsu) |
| Winner:Yves Edwards by Split Decision 29-28, 28-29, 29-28 |
The
climax builds to a 155 pound headliner, as the best
fights have been the lighter weights tonight. Hermes
comes out high kicking, they measure each other. Hermes
looking to set up the takedown. After some back n forth
they both start connectng. It's very close and hard
to call a winner in round one. But Yves seems to have
Hermes in his game. Hermes gets the takedown in the
second. Prematurely broken up by the referee. Yves starts
landing more in this round, seems more comfortable,
but Hermes keeps coming at him striking and trying to
get the takedown. Edwards took round two. Third round
Franca goes for an ankle lock after keeping the leg
for a takedown, but Yves gets out. Hermes is going for
the right bomb, he knows he's behind. Hermes goes for
another ankle lock and then a guillotine, as Yves is
in trouble, but he gets a reversal. Franca throws desperation
hooks trying to finish Yves. A beautiful fight and very
close.
